After lunch, we drive to Dong Van Town, stopping at Tham Ma Slope and the residence of the Vuong family, known as the “H’mong King Palace.” We will then return to our homestay and have dinner in Dong Van Town.
Day 2: Dong Van Town – Volunteer Youth Monument – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Meo Vac – Bao Lac Town
After breakfast, we will leave Dong Van Town. Our easy rider will take you to Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the most scenic parts of the journey, located on the Happiness Road connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac. Known for its craggy cliffs and breathtaking views, Ma Pi Leng Pass is considered the “king” of the passes in Vietnam, reaching an altitude of 2,000 meters.
To fully appreciate the pass, we will ride down the Sky Path to admire the valley and the Nho Que River below. At the top of the pass, you will be overwhelmed by the majestic views of mountains and rivers.
We will continue to remote villages, offering insight into rural life in Vietnam. We will drive through Lung Ho, Mau Due, and Meo Vac, where we will stop for lunch and refreshments. From Meo Vac Town, we will proceed through the mountainous roads of Cao Bang Province to Bao Lac Town. Here, you will visit a famous village where seven ethnic minorities live together, showcasing vibrant local culture. We will spend the night at a homestay with a Tay Minority family, enjoying dinner and traditional “happy water” with them.
Day 3: Bao Lac Town – Ma Pia Slope – Phia Thap Village
Join us for a 130km motorbike tour from Bao Lac to Phia Thap Village, known for its charming geo-cultural sites. This remote area offers some of Vietnam’s most stunning landscapes. Surrounded by expansive forests and mountains, Cao Bang provides year-round fresh, cool air.
As we ride through incredible limestone caves, spectacular waterfalls, majestic mountains, and local villages, you will be captivated by the region’s beauty. Adventure enthusiasts will appreciate the charm of this destination. We will stop at Ma Pia Slope to enjoy the landscape and take beautiful photos.
Although the road from Bao Lac to Phia Thap is relatively straightforward, it has many blind curves, so please be cautious and slow down. Along the way, we will make stops for lunch and to capture stunning photographs. After about 8 hours on the road, we will end the day with a homestay with a local family in Phia Thap, where you can relax and prepare for the next day.
