Ha Giang City – Highway 2 – Road 197C – Vinh Quang Town – DT178 – Coc Pai Town – Suoi Thau Meadow. This 120 km route is challenging due to its winding, zigzagging roads, which are often covered with gravel and mountain sand, making the journey arduous.Route 2:
Ha Giang City – Highway 2 – Tan Quang – DT177 – Nam Ty – Vinh Quang Town – DT178 – Coc Pai Town – Suoi Thau Meadow. This 147 km route is less advisable due to its difficult conditions. The road leading to Hoang Su Phi is muddy, strewn with jagged rocks and potholes, and prone to landslides, which makes travel strenuous and risky.Route 3:
Ha Giang City – National Highway 2 – Viet Quang Town – National Highway 279 – DT178 – Coc Pai Town – Suoi Thau Meadow. This 152 km route is the most convenient and safest option, offering a smoother and faster journey compared to the other routes.
From Bac Ha District to Suoi Thau Meadow:
Traveling from Bac Ha District in Lao Cai Province to Suoi Thau Meadow is relatively straightforward and convenient. The journey covers about 35 km on Road DT153. This route is well-maintained with solid concrete surfaces, though there are a few small sections of approximately 500 meters currently under construction. Despite this, the route remains safe and secure, even in rainy or dark conditions.
